I tuned in to watch the premiere of MTV's "The Real World, D.C." knowing the show would have a political feel to it, and it came through with that aspect. However, I became upset after the housemates all met and became situated. They went out on the town and the trouble started right away.
Is it just me, or are Atheists the most stubborn, ignorant people on Earth? Ty, a former Christina turned Atheist, starts attacking Mike on his religious views. Mike holds his religion to a high standard in his life, and has attributed overcoming life's obstacles to his faith. Ty seemed to belittle and even ridiculed Mike's views.
This is just another example of the attempts by Atheists to destroy the right to practice our religions' freely without fear of persecution. Atheists look down on people who believe in a creator with a smug sense of greatness; believing they have figured out the mysteries of faith and look down on those who follow any religion.
The problem with arguing religion is that it will never end. There will always be two sides of the sword, and someone will always get cut. The best way to avoid religious arguments is to not bring up religion.
My religious views are something that are personal to me, and I keep them to myself because my views aren't the same as everyone else's. We all need to respect the fact that there is a wide range of difference in Christianity alone, and that is only a piece of the religious pie.
As for the rest of the show, I will enjoy watching Ashley and Callie. Ashley because she knows who she is politicaly, although I disagree with her views, and Callie because she doesn't say she is a Conservative but acted as such. She will be tested living with someone like Ashley who holds very strong political views.
